You can use OneDrive to share documents, other files, and entire folders with people. You can control whether people can edit, comment, or only view your files and folders, when you share them, and after you share them. Edits or comments that are made to a file or folder are updated live for everyone who they’ve been shared with.
Files and folders you store in your OneDrive - GrowthForce folder are private until you decide to share them. Files and folders in a Shared Library (such as the G Drive - Documents folder) are visible to individuals with existing permissions and to anyone you share with.
Sharing Files and Folders from the OneDrive Website
1. Navigate to the OneDrive for Business website (https://growthforce-my.sharepoint.com/) or the SharePoint website (https://growthforce.sharepoint.com)
2. Hover over the file or folder you'd like to share, then click the Share button.
OPTIONAL
By default, Sharing Permissions are set to Edit. To change to View-Only permissions, select People you specify can edit, uncheck the Allow editing box, then click Apply
3. Type the Email address of the person (or people) you'd like the share with, then click Send.
The individual(s) will receive an email with a link to the shared document or folder.
OPTIONAL
- Click the Copy Link button to copy the sharing link to your clipboard. You can then paste it to an email, message, or wherever people can access it.
- Clicking the Outlook button will open Outlook Online and automatically create a new message with the file or folder linked in the body.
Sharing from the OneDrive Folder on your Computer
1. Open the OneDrive - GrowthForce or GrowthForce folder in File Explorer or Finder on your computer.
2. Right-click the file or folder you'd like to share, then click Share.
OPTIONAL
By default, Sharing Permissions are set to Edit. To change to View-Only permissions, select People you specify can edit, uncheck the Allow editing box, then click Apply. You can also choose to limit the ability to download by clicking the Block download toggle.
3. Type the Email address of the person (or people) you'd like the share with, then click Send.
The individual(s) will receive an email with a link to the shared document or folder.
